42% of clergy gave serious consideration to quitting in 2022.
A number of psychology and counseling experts have observed that those best suited to help burnt-out clergy find their way, are other clergy. Connecting clergy in safe spaces, away from the day-to-day stress of their ministries, while providing rest, a chance to reconnect to themselves, and an opportunity to build resilience, is imperative.
THE PARSONAGE PROJECT seeks to secure a campus to meet this need, offering mini sabbaticals exclusively for burnt-out clergy to consider the next steps in their careers. Those next steps impact their families, their religious charges, and their communities at large.
