Clergy Support in Crisis

You Don't Have to Do This Alone.

After violent or traumatic events, clergy and other ministers often carry the heavy responsibility of guiding others spiritually through grief, confusion, and recovery—but they should not have to shoulder that burden alone. Offering support means creating space where they can be heard, validated, and cared for, whether by providing access to resources and allies that ease their workload or simply being present as a trusted sounding board while they serve as a sounding board for everyone else. Sometimes what’s most valuable is not advice but companionship—the steady reminder that they have allies standing beside them. By ensuring clergy and other ministers have the tools, encouragement, and human connection they need, we not only sustain their well-being but also strengthen their response and the overall resilience of the entire community they serve.
